Futsal is a fantastic sport for football development and is recommended by the FA as a great way to gain lots of touches of the ball and get a feel for what football is about.
The real focus is ball mastery, and many top players such as Messi, Ronaldo, Pele, Coutinho, Ronaldinho and Neymar have credited Futsal with playing a key part in their youth development. More recent Premier League starlets such as Kobbie Mainoo (Man Utd), Micah Hamilton (Man City) and Max Kilman (West Ham) have all credited Futsal with part of their success.
Our Futsal sessions are very much aimed at beginners – no pressure, lots of fun games and plenty of smiles.
Some of the benefits include:
During Futsal players touch the ball double the amount of times they would when playing 11- a- side football.
Futsal balls have a low bounce and spends much more time on the floor which is excellent for development of skills and ball control.
In Futsal, players find themselves playing under pressure in confined spaces and develop skills to deal with these situations.
Futsal is played to touchlines, with all players being free to enter the penalty area and play the ball over head-height - unlike traditional "5-a-side" football.
The pitch size demands quick decision making, rapid movements of the ball and a high intensity - improving a Futsal player's speed, stamina and agility.
